Maestro’s Gold | Shayan Afshar

Jewelry has always been and will always be nearly irrelevant to me. Until I made the “Infinity Piece” I had only viewed jewelry as materialistic excess. Terrestrial possessions have always taught me a lesson, some are consistently enjoyable and others are joyless as soon as they are attained. In my mind, everything that pertains to you should be ordered in importance by you. The lessons learned through materials purchased can be much greater that the cost of those purchases. The pieces pictured above were made for me by a young jeweler named Shayan Afshar based in Los Angeles. Over the last year I’ve had a lot of fun creating, talking jokes, traveling, eating Bottega Louie, and most importantly making a great new friend with someone who has a super bright future ahead of him. Honesty goes a long way.
