Eames | Lounge Chair

March 18, 2011   Posted by Levi Maestro

“Who doesn’t recognize the Eames lounge chair and ottoman?” Charles and Ray Eames made more than a chair. Some say the made a classic or even a unique piece of art with the Lounge. I can’t argue that with the Eames Lounge currently housed at museums like the New York MoMA and the Art Institute of Chicago. Charles Eames said the goal in developing the chair was “that it be a special refuge from the strains of modern living.”
